Closure
Happy Halloween fellow earthling; even though i don’t celebrate Halloween i found a perfect game for this day.
Closure is a very atmospheric and dark puzzle platformer, where you have to carry around a ball of light, which will illuminate your surroundings allowing you to walk and jump on the ground. If the part is not illuminated you fall and die.

Super Castlevania IV - SNES
One of my favorites. Perfect gameplay, atmosphere, music, bosses, etc.
You can’t have a bad time playing this game, it really shows the difference between 8-bit and 16-bit, and the greatness that Konami showed during the 16-bit era.
PS: Maybe the link won’t work, but i’m sure you have some other “means” to play this masterpiece.

Jump and jump. I think the character of this game would’ve been better as a flea.
You have to move to the left by jumping, and just jumping. There are a lot of pits so you have to calcuate the jumps right by applying the right pressure to the UP key.

Cowlorful
Cows and colors. Cowlorful is a platform game where you play as a cow that colors everything on its path.
You have to color 50% of the level before you can leave and keep coloring all over the place.
It’s got a nice look and feel, sadly the controls are a bit slippery and making the double jump by keeping the UP key pressed is a bit strange, i’d much rather do that by double...

Sin Car
This is a simple and beautiful game. Move your mouse to speed up or slow down the car, get the bonus points and watch out for the walls.
As the game lacks music, i recommend something nice like this while you’re playing.
Great game for a break and a nice time.

Mirror Runners
Right off turn the music off„ put something nice and enjoy controlling 2 characters at the same time.
You have to get them both on the red platforms, so they turn green and you move to the next level.
This isn’t an easy game, so focus and split your maneuvers!.

Super Double Dragon - SNES
It’s not my favorite of the series, but it’s a good entry and very fun to play with a friend.
Though the new moves and powers add some variety the game can be slow and repetitive, but the graphics and music will keep you coming for more and beating guys without stopping.

The Lion King - SNES
I remember getting this game on a birthday, finishing it in a couple of days. The fact that you transition from baby lion to an adult just like in the movie is pretty cool.
It’s an easy game, with nice graphics, animations, and a ton of nostalgia. Not the best Disney game for the SNES, but still good.

Missilebreak Outvaders
Missilebreak Outvaders is a fun mix between Breakout and Space Invaders. You have to catch the missiles that the aliens throw at you and bounce them back to them!. Once they’re blue you can make them explode with the right mouse button to make a chain reaction.
The game has a really catchy music and old school graphics that will make you feel right back at the arcade.

Flashback - The Quest for Identity / SNES
The game everybody thought it was a sequel to Another World, but it isn’t.
A great adventure in a far away place. The rotoscope is a very nice (albeit outdated) way of animating games, and here it really shows well.
Did you know that this game is in the Guiness Book?, it’s the best selling french game of all time. I don’t know any other french game, but this is the king!.

Dayori
Do you like weird Japanese stuff?, i sometimes do, so i choose Dayori for today.
Dayori is an escape the room game, full of bizarre characters and artifacts. The game is in japanese, but it almost features no text, so it shouldn’t be a problem.
There is more of this developer, so hang on, we’ll be in bizarro-japanese-world some other day.

One and One Story
It’s nice to see the influence of “big” indie games on minor or lighter games like One and One Story.
I started the game and inmediatly i reminded Braid and Limbo, which is a great thing. The goal is to reunite these two lovers by pushing boxes, jumping and avoiding spikes and heights.
The controls are a little stiff, but manageable. I think you’ll have a good time with...

Well, you are a box in this game. You have to save the white character from the crayon spikes.
It’s nice to see some variation in puzzle platformers and make you play as the platform instead of the plataformee (is that propher grammar?).

The sequel to yesterday’s game. Even better than the first one.
Lighter and more colorful are the colors of the game, giving it a more varied feel, and the double jump along with the dash make the game feel faster and more manageable.

K.O.L.M. is a platformer in the metroidvania area, with a very atmospheric sound and feel.

Prizma Puzzle Challenges
The objective of this puzzle game is to connect the Start node to the Final node, simple he?. Not quite.
You’ll have to break cristals, reflect the beam and many more things.
The interface is a little distracting, but it doesn’t kill the game.

I love to play a game that leaves me with a “wow” feeling, and this one of those games.
In Mega Mash you play a mash of classic retro games modified a bit. The awesome part is that the swap is on the fly in the levels, so there’s not a “platformer” level or “shooter” level, it’s all mixed between!.

Castlevania Bloodlines - SEGA Genesis
One of the most underrated of the series, and it shouldn’t, so give it a shot if you haven’t already.
The variety in the scenery of the stages is a nice change for the typical transilvania Castlevania setting, which goes great along the nice graphics and enticing music.

Castlevania 3 - NES
This week was Castlevania´s 25 annyversary, so to celebrate it here is my favorite Castlevania on the NES, the first to introduce alucard, branching paths, and multiple characters. Really a culprit for the series on the NES, until the masterpiece Super Castlevania IV on the SNES.
It doesn´t run very smoothly and the menu is all bugged up, but i really wanted to faeture this game, and i assume...
